Not content to leave the future of heavy-duty trucks to the likes of Tesla and Nikola, Ford has taken the wraps off of its F-Vision semi concept. Besides the similarity to other electric semis, the F-Vision draws inspiration from an unlikely source — Marvel superheroes.

The F-Vision's wraparound front glass blends into the bodywork when in operating autonomously and fades out when a human operator is present. Ford also describes the front end as interactive, saying that different logos, designs, and even messages for other drivers can be displayed across the front of the cab.

Ford didn't offer any technical specs for the truck, but the F-Vision definitely points in the direction the company is looking towards for the future. The automotive industry is making across-the-board moves to electric vehicles, and French manufacturer Peugeot isn't about to be left behind. Ahead of the Paris Motor Show, Peugeot has released its E-Legend concept EV with a design that harks back to the classic coupe of the 60s and 70s.

In a world where aerodynamics leave automotive design with a feeling of sameness across the industry, the E-Legend breaks from convention with a classicly proportioned exterior and sharp features. The interior is nearly a modern masterpiece, with seats that could be at home in a modern office and a rectangular steering wheel. Peugeot claims horsepower and lb-ft of torque from the electric powertrain and a range of miles, putting it right in line with current EV offerings.

With its good looks and solid specs, the E-Legend is begging to see production. With the c concept car, Volvo isn't just looking to the future of autonomous travel — Volvo is looking to replace an entire industry.

Volvo envisions the electric, fully self-driving c as an alternative to short-haul air travel and allowing faster, more enjoyable commuting from the suburbs to city centers. The c's interior can be configured for multiple passengers in an office-like setting, as a living space, or with a bed and storage for a single passenger on trips of up to miles, offering drastically reduced emissions, cost, and potentially comparable travel time when sharing the road with other autonomous vehicles.

The futuristic exterior and vision for the car may be decades away, but Volvo plans to be there when the time comes. Developed for whisky drinkers that prefer a chilled dram, Norlan's Rauk tumbler takes its name from the old Scottish word for rock. The glass is made of crystal and precision modeled to touch down on four crystal points, making surface contact but providing the appearance that it's hovering.
